A pig escapes its pen,
Seeking to shed the life of a slave,
To claim a taste of freedom.
Its fierce desire to break free
From the chains of confinement_
It is a humble wish, compared to the empty desires of humankind.
Yet why are the townsfolk
So fervently hunting
This fugitive pig?
Chasing after it like wild animals,
Their frenzy is indistinguishable from the fleeing pig.
Are they the pigs
Or is the pig one of them?
The lines blur, and I can no longer tell.

노예의 삶에서 벗어나
자유를 얻으려 한다.
구속의 틀 벗어나려는
그의 강렬한 갈망
허울좋은 인간의 욕망에 비하면
소박한 바램인데
어인일로 동네 사람들
돼지 잡기로
분주한가?
돼지처럼 날뛰는 추격자들
도망가는 돼지 모습과
다르지 않네.
사람들이 돼지인지
돼지가 사람인지
헷갈린다.
